Almost Done!

I'm never certain whether finals week is harder than a regular school week or easier. On the one hand, there are the obvious tests, and the long hours studying; on the other hand, everything has a nice sense of finality about it. I won't have to learn any new information for an entire month, and I won't get any more REDO's from JB. Better yet, I can walk in to each test knowing that I've either got it in the bag or not, and they'll be no more fooling and "doing better next time."

In other news:

Something strange happened in Washington today. The Senate was suddenly possessed of the visceral fortitude to reject (CNN link warning; sorry) an attempt to renew the patriot act. I wonder why.

Engineering: solving real world problems often created by other engineers. What more could you want?

We certainly have come a long way in the past 62 years. I can't even see the keyboard on that thing.
